You've got questions prior to booking a Paris phoot shoot? Here are some answers, tips and tricks to those Paris photo shoot questions to get the most out of your Paris photo shoot.

WHAT IS THE PRICE OF A PHOTO SHOOT IN PARIS?

The price of a photo shoot in Paris mainly depends on a few things: the length of the photo shoot, the kind of photo shoot (couple photo shoot, family photo shoot, surprise proposal…) and on the season too. We usually work on an hourly basis and we cover one main location per hour. The more information you give us the easiest it is to give you a proper quote for a photo shoot.

The pricing is attractive, with no hidden fees: My Paris Photo Shoot’s pricing are All Tax Included and include the time spent for the photo shoot itself and for the post-production work. Contact us and we’ll be happy to answer your questions and find the most suitable photo shoot package for you.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME FOR A PHOTO SHOOT IN PARIS?

The best time for a photo shoot in Paris is usually in the morning (even early morning depending on the locations and/or the time of year) to get a nice light and avoid the crowd. However we can adapt to your schedule. Just remember some pictures won’t be possible depending on the location and the time of day.
It’s also best if you don’t schedule a photo shoot right after your plane or train’s arrival: you may be late and/or tired. It’s best to do the photo shoot in Paris at least a day after your arrival.

WHAT ARE THE BEST LOCATIONS IN PARIS?

You would like to remember your trip to Paris forever? For your photo shoot in Paris Your private photographer can take pictures of you in front of the Eiffel Tower, near the Arc de Triomphe, in the Louvre courtyard, around Notre-Dame cathedral, on Alexander III Bridge… Or perhaps are you looking for less touristic pictures? Your private photographer will then guide you throughout the small streets of the city of love.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR A PHOTO SHOOT IN PARIS?

Don’t take big bags we’ll have to keep an eye on! Our goal is to move around the city as easily as possible, so it would be smart to bring only the necessary belongings. If you plan to wear high heels it might also be a good idea to bring along a pair of comfortable shoes in a small backpack your photographer can carry for you.

Regarding your outfits, we trust you! But, if possible, don’t wear loose outfits and avoid stripes and checked patterns. Shorts, tracksuits and even jeans (if too long/too loose) should be avoided.
Of course, your outfits will depend on the season and on the weather : the weather is usually nice from mid-April to late October though it can be a bit cold in the morning when most of the photo shoots are scheduled (to avoid the crowd). It can be a bit windy too, especially when taking pictures on a bridge like the Bir-Hakeim Bridge or Alexandre III Bridge. Keep that in mind when choosing a dress.

In winter it’s best to keep your coat on during the whole photo shoot so a good looking coat is a good choice.

Regarding accessories, it’s best to keep it simple: a small handbag, a bouquet, a nice hat, sunglasses you can play with, a scarf if it’s cold, an umbrella if it’s raining a bit…

HOW TO POSE DURING A PHOTO SHOOT?

You don’t know how to pose? That’s not a problem. You can already get some ideas on our website but during the photo shoot your photographer will also guide you. You’re not models (none of our clients are, as for now) so it’s normal to be a bit embarrassed at the beginning of a photo shoot if it’s your first photo shoot ever. Your photographer will help you relax and show your true personality. As long as you have fun, that will show in the pictures.

DO YOU RETOUCH THE PICTURES?

Yes, we do! The package price includes the editing process (using Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop). We work on the light, the colors, the contrast… but we do not do heavy editing such as adding a blue sky if it was cloudy during the photo shoot, removing people from the background or alter clothing such as ironing wrinkles. So it’s best to avoid satin or too tight outfits. We usually deliver the pictures within a week or two.

WHAT HAPPENS IN CASE OF RAIN ON THE DAY OF OUR PHOTO SHOOT IN PARIS?

We check Paris weather daily. A light rain can be romantic and empty Paris, a wet floor can create some nice reflections and be helpful to create stunning pictures but a pouring rain (though the rain never last too long in Paris) can compromise a photo shoot in Paris. That’s why if really necessary and if possible (according to your schedule and our schedule) we will find an alternative date before or after the original date. If we cannot make it happen, we will happily refund you the whole deposit.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE LATE TO THE PHOTO SHOOT?

We like to consider a photo shoot like a train: it’s usually there before you are, it’s on time and sometimes it takes a bit longer. It means your photographer will be there earlier than the photo shoot time and that the photo shoot won’t stop at the end time if we can still do some nice pictures.

However, in case you are late, that will take away from time we spend taking photographs. If you are more than 20 minutes late and with no news from you we will need to cancel the photo shoot.

Paris photo shoot questions How to propose in Paris ?

HOW TO PROPOSE?

First make sure your photographer is ready. If you plan to propose during a photo shoot you may have agreed on a kind of code, perhaps a word or an action. In that case, wait for the code.

If you want the photo shoot to be a surprise too then the photographer will be hiding or acting as a non-professional photographer. Make sure your photographer is here before you propose. An eye contact is a good way to make sure you’ve recognized each other and that you’re both ready. Position yourself perfectly parallel in between your photographer and the selected backdrop so your photographer can see and take pictures of your face and your partner’s reaction.

We know it might be hard but try to have the ring box ready so you won’t be struggling with your pocket when you’ll pop the big question! At the decided location you can talk together or you can look at each other in silence. Then it’s time to drop on your knee. For your comfort and for a better visual results, do not drop on your knee too close to your partner. Do not rush anything and hold your position a little for best photo results. You can keep talking to your partner while on your knee. Enjoy this moment together before you decide to turn to your photographer and resume the session.
